10 very good reasons why the Nidum is the right vacation destination right NOW!

We are happy to admit it: We are taking it a little slower with the opening of the NIDUM. We will not open the house again for our dear guests until July 3, 2020. This is mainly because we want to perfectly adjust to the new challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic brought with it, and this takes time and patience. In return, you can be assured that we have done everything humanly possible to guarantee you a safe and carefree time at NIDUM.

In short, we want to be that wellness hotel in Austria where, after many hardships and stressful situations, you can finally take a deep breath - in complete peace and safety!

Why the NIDUM is just now the right vacation domicile, we have summarized for you in this top list:

#1: Our location

Our house is enthroned at a sea level of 1250 meters in the small village of Mösern above the Inn Valley, surrounded by meadows and forests. Early in the morning there is usually a light breeze from the woods around the house, from midday the warm air rises from the Inn Valley and provides us with a pleasant breeze, with a touch of fresh grass and conifers.

This unique location, far from crowds of people, with its free, unobstructed distant view, provides the best conditions for finally being able to take a deep breath.

#2: Forest, lots of forest!

Directly via our back entrance on the fifth floor you enter the forest. Get a concentrated load of terpenes after just a few fumblings: "This 'smell of the forest' is commonly associated with instinct, emotion, and preference" and "has a greater impact on physiological changes than stimuli from the other senses," write Yuko Tsunetsugu and Bum-Yin Park. Just the sight of the forest is enough for blood pressure to drop, the pulse to slow and the concentration of the stress hormone cortisol to decrease, medical researchers J. Lee and Bum-Yin Park measured in subjects in several field studies in Japanese forests.

#3: The appropriate architecture

It is certain that the planners from Arkan Zeytinoglu Architects had the right nose when they completed the NIDUM Hotel in 2014: Already in the planning stage, the entire concept of our hotel was designed for size, for spacious rooms with lots of light and air. This suits us (and therefore you) in these crazy times: There is space and room for everyone here, even if they want to retreat or keep their distance. This applies not only to your own room, but also to the public areas.

#4: The unique NIDUM hygiene concept

When it comes to cleanliness and hygiene at NIDUM, we have always been happy to go the extra mile. Now, once again, we are setting standards when it comes to the sustainable cleaning and disinfection of our facility. All our friendly staff are trained in advance by experts in the field of hygiene and wear mouth-nose protection and gloves on site. All public areas, as well as the rooms, are disinfected using a highly stable water-sodium chloride compound with equipment from Swiss Hygiene Technologies via spray disinfection. Thanks to this technology, which is not harmful to humans, all germs are killed without any chemicals. All surfaces and sensitive touch points such as elevators, door handles, etc. are additionally disinfected several times a day. Sufficient disinfection dispensers are available for you throughout the hotel.

#5: Our infrastructure

We have space for everyone - and everywhere: no other hotel in the region was built as generously as the NIDUM. You will recognize this also the COVID-19 measures, no matter if you are in the hall, in the gastronomy area, our terraces, but also in the wellness and SPA area. Do you want to stay at a distance, but still be around people a bit? Then just grab a book and settle down with it our library, the Meet & Read. You will love it!

#6: Our dream rooms

Actually, we should speak of "nests"... and for good reason! ALL rooms in the NIDUM are large enough to feel comfortable here even during a longer stay, in the context of which you also want to retreat to your private space. Stubbing your toe on the edge of the bed? There is no such thing here, just as your elbows in the bathroom will have no contact with the shower, mirror or the like. But instead, you'll have the sunny southern exposure and a breathtaking view from the individual balcony. Thanks to the fully glazed, floor-to-ceiling south-facing side, you won't even have to leave your bed to experience the magnificent view of the mountains opposite. Did we mention that the materials in your room are exclusively of natural origin and come from the nearby surroundings?

#7: The suites with private sauna and whirlpool

It is difficult to surpass our rooms, but the suites in the NIDUM manage this with bravura: The very cozy Nice Suite offers, in addition to the southern exposure, also views to the east or west of the house through floor-to-ceiling glazing in the bedroom and living room, as well as through your wrap-around balcony.
In the heart of our house are our four WOW Suites, which offer 2 bedrooms and a private, spacious sauna.
For very special guests, for special occasions, for VIP's and for everyone who wants to really let it rip, we are happy to open the Awseome Suites on the top floor of the NIDUM. Here you will find 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a sauna area with a free-standing bathtub and an all-round 360 degree view.

#8: Culinary (also outside)

Even if our young, well-rehearsed kitchen team must expand their professional clothing such as chef's hats and aprons with a surgical mask: They are no less motivated at the stove, more ready than ever to delight you again with the very finest creations. Of course the team around Lukas Klausner used the forced waiting period, in order to train and try new things..... We are all looking forward to regional, well-tried, but also Mediterranean specialties and creations for our vegetarians, which we did not know in this form yet!

#9: The NIDUM Spa (open with conditions)

Also the NIDUM SPA resumes with the opening your service to the guest, with all due respect to the strict rules that the hosts Michaela Lechtaler and Max Pinzger have issued to create a safe environment for your guests and staff. We are currently still working on the treatments that we will offer you in full safety.

#10: The various activities in nature

Social Distancing? As you have already seen, we can provide this. All alone in the forest? Not even a stone's throw away, behind the NIDUM, countless hiking trails begin, which lead, for example, to the enchanting Möserer Lake, the warmest bathing lake in Tyrol, which is embedded in an untouched forest landscape, far away from noise and crowds. Our golfers are simply sent to our partner golf club Seefeld- Wildmoos, where we can provide discounted green fees and guaranteed tee times. Our proven hiking guide Walter will continue to accompany you in small groups to the most beautiful corners of our Tyrolean mountains (and also provide the right stop :-) ), MTB's and E-MTB's are available to you as well as hiking poles and backpacks, water bottles and provisions, if you want to discover alone the numerous hiking trails both around the house, but also in the entire Olympiaregion Seefeld!
